Vietnam is a fast developing country where the poverty still pretty much exists, and this has been made worse with the economic impact caused by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
Since the beginning of 2020, new coronavirus, which was later named as COVID-19, has severely disrupted many people’s livelihood around the world as countries have to enforce lockdown in the bid to cut the transmission chain of the virus infection. This is particularly true in Vietnam where the life of the poor and the old are seriously affected.
Fortunately, thanks to many kind-hearted souls, things may be still manageable despite the difficult situation in Ho Chi Minh City.

With the generous donations and kind gestures from the local community, there are a growing number of locations in the city which are giving away free food and supplies to the needy and the poor these days; such as the Bun BBQ house (Binh Thanh), the free rice ATM machine (Tan Phu), and free food and mask at 83, street number 9, Go Vap district.
