World Music Awards Calls Son Tung M-TP As “Vietnamese Pop Prince”

Vietnamese singer Son Tung M-TP has taken a big step into the international arena as he was mentioned by Facebook page “World Music Awards”.

The World Music Awards is an international award show founded in 1989 under the patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and co-founder/executive producer John Martinotti. Based in Monte Carlo, the awards are presented to the world’s best-selling artists in a range of competitive categories and to the best-selling artists from each major territory.

   

On August 13, Son Tung M-TP had an astonishing moment when he was mentioned by World Music Awards Facebook page with an image post of himself. Underneath the post, many compliments could be found praising the singer with various names like “Vietnamese Pop Prince” and “Record breaker”.

The World Music Awards also introduced the impressive awards that Son Tung had achieved such as:”Son Tùng M-TP has surpassed 250 million views on YouTube with his 1st MV “Nơi Này Có Anh”, “”Lạc trôi” and “Nơi Này Có Anh” were the fastest Vietnamese music videos to reach 100 million views on YouTube, and were two of the year’s top streaming tracks in Vietnam.”

The caption also particularly mentioned that “Tung later collaborated with rapper #SnoopDogg on “Give It to Me” which was released in July 2019. The accompanying video featured an appearance by singer Madison Beer and set a 24-hour record for Vietnamese music videos with 25.8 million YouTube views on its first day! This record was previously held by “Chạy ngay đi” which hit 17.6 million views in the 1st 24 hours! “Give It to Me” also broke the record for the 1st Vietnamese MV with over 3 Million likes!”

With his commendable efforts for what he has been contributing towards Vietnamese music, Son Tung M-TP has certainly taken a big stride forward for V-pop internationally.
