Thuy Tien has been appealing for public donations to help people in Mekong Delta.
Since beginning of 2020, the world and Vietnam have been battling with a common invisible enemy COVID-19 since the virus went out of control when it was imported out of the center of the outbreak in Wuhan, China.
Yet, to add Vietnam’s woes, there is also a troublesome problem presenting in some provinces in Mekong Delta, Southern Vietnam – an ongoing drought and lack of potable water.
When local singer Thuy Tien came to know about the hardships that the people in Mekong Delta are facing, she made a generous donation of 50 million VND, while appealing her followers for aid on her Facebook page.
On Saturday, Thuy Tien personally went to Tien Giang, one of the drought-stricken provinces in Mekong Delta, to survey and requested the local authorities to install water purifiers for the villagers.
Through this act of kindness, Thuy Tien is gaining more respect, not only as a singer who can sing well, but is also a kind-hearted person.
